The brownie sundae is a rich sundae made with brownies, whipped cream, hot fudge, nuts and a cherry. Caramel is used to replace the brownie in what’s referred to as a “Blondie”.
We cannot forget the banana split. A banana split has three sundaes in one side by side between two halves of a banana that is sliced lengthwise. It includes strawberry ice cream topped with strawberry syrup, vanilla ice cream, topped with crushed pineapple, and chocolate ice cream topped with chocolate syrup. Each scoop is individually garnished with whipped cream and a cherry. Ever heard of a bananas foster? A flamb of bananas with rum, banana liquor and spices this sundae is one like none other.
